Semeru The Top Of Java

Mount Semeru is one of the most famous mountains in Java. Mountain with an altitude of 3676 meters above sea level has the nickname Mahameru which means more or less is the king of the mountain island of Java. Not only special with its heights, its unique natural ecosystem and challenging climbing paths with extraordinary scenic spots make it worthy to hold the title of Maha mountain from Java Dwipa Land.

Although classified into an active and dangerous volcano and famous for its myth and his victims Mahameru remains a special attraction for mountain climbers. Magnetic power is not even less even sharper in the present era. Behind the beauty of the peak Mahameru there is a shadow of death that always threatens the soul of the climbers, this is due to the activity of quite intense volcanoes occurred in the crater area “Gandring Saloko.” This activity though dangerous but has its own beauty and privilege for the climbers who can see it directly on the peak Mahameru.

The first place to start the climb, as well as the last village, is Ranu Pane. This cool village is the entrance as well as the registration for climbers who will do climbing activities in Mount Bromo National Park Tengger Semeru. Before entering the path to the top of Semeru we will pass the pine forest with two scary famous namely Arcopodo and Kelik. After Arcopodo and Kelik we will see Cemoro Tunggal is a large pine tree that grows solitary near the Blank 75. Cemoro Tunggal is one of the common benchmarks that indicate that we do not get lost when descending from the top of Semeru. After Cemoro Tunggal we will be dealing directly with the sandy and open terrain and have an unstable path count, The journey is quite tiring and very draining. If physical strength is not supported by excellent mental strength it is very difficult to continue the climbing journey to the top of Mahameru. Take one step down half step ..
